Brandi Calhoun, a content and editing specialist, joins David Arkin Consulting

Brandi Calhoun, a content specialist who has written for a variety of niche publications, community newspapers and edited for the country’s largest news organization, has joined David Arkin Consulting as a content strategist.

Calhoun joined Arkin’s growing consulting company in October and has been writing a variety of branded content for the consulting firm’s clients, as well as things to do content, food profiles and real estate features. She has also been editing a variety of content for several of Arkin’s clients.

She was previously a content curator for USA TODAY/Gannett and originally worked at the design center that Arkin launched when they both worked for GateHouse Media about a decade ago. 

At the design center and later for USA TODAY/Gannett, Calhoun edited and fact-checked up to 50 reader submissions daily, created training materials for employees and led onboarding for new employees.

“I am so excited to bring my passion for storytelling and precision to this new role, and I look forward to helping elevate the content at David Arkin Consulting,” Calhoun said. “This role not only allows me to tell stories for advertisers that foster audience growth, but that also make an impact on readers and business growth alike.”

Arkin said Calhoun’s deep writing experience across a variety of industries, including her work in marketing and events, will be a huge plus to clients.

Calhoun is the third staff member to join David Arkin Consulting. Tara Jones, who supports branded content work and writes newsletters for many of our clients, joined the company in 2023. In addition, Emilie Lutostanski joined the company earlier this year to support social media and LinkedIn efforts for Arkin’s clients.
